Why You Should Choose Your Pediatrician Before Your Baby Arrives

When you're expecting a new arrival, there's a lot to do, from prenatal classes to getting the nursery ready. With all that going on, it can be easy to put off one of the most important things to do: Choose your new baby's pediatrician. Don't wait until your birth hospital assigns you a pediatrician... make it your choice.

I. Your doctor should have time for all your questions.

Your doctor should be able to give you the time you need to listen to all your questions at each visit. With a newborn, you want a doctor who will listen to you, not watch the clock. We are pleased to offer prenatal classes as a first step in building that relationship.

II. Find someone who speaks your language, not medical jargon.

Find a pediatrician who can explain things in ordinary language that every parent can understand. That way, you can be confident you have the information you need to be confident about doing what your baby needs for a healthy start.

III. Look for a practice that is both convenient and cutting-edge.

Find a pediatrician close to home and who has evening and weekend hours, but also offers the latest technologies and experts in areas like nutrition.
