Our Doctors

Tom Roberts

Although one of our newest physicians, Dr. Tom Roberts has quickly made a name for himself at Wheaton Pediatrics. His experience as a parent, his soft-spoken manner, and his expertise as a pediatrician have made him a favorite of many of our families.

"I enjoy the process of building relationships with families and seeing my patients grow over time."

Prior to coming to Wheaton Pediatrics, Dr. Roberts worked in a private practice in the southwest suburbs for six years. He enjoys working in Wheaton now, not far from where he and his family live. He and his wife, Maria, have a daughter and son. When not in the office, Dr. Roberts enjoys hiking with his family and exploring the forest preserves in the area. He is also an avid reader and guitar player.

Dr. Roberts is fluent in Spanish and able to provide care for Spanish-speaking patients. His areas of interest include general pediatric care, pediatric development, nutrition, asthma and ADHD.

If he hadn't become a pediatrician, Dr. Roberts would have loved to be a science teacher.

"Medicine has always brought a good mix of what I enjoy most about education and science"

Dr. Roberts brings that love of education to the office, where he enjoys teaching parents and patients how best to stay healthy.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree with honors from Eastern Illinois University, Dr. Roberts earned his DO from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn. After working in the Oak Lawn area for several years, Dr. Roberts joined Wheaton Pediatrics in 2019.  Dr. Roberts is on staff at Rosalind Franklin Chicago Medical School as an adjunct faculty instructing medical students.
