Susan Sirota

A teacher, a leader, and - of course - a pediatrician, Dr. Sirota is one of the founding partners of Pediatric Partners and the Chairperson of the Board of Managers of PediaTrust. She’s been proudly caring for children in and around Highland Park and Vernon Hills for over 25 years!

Dr. Sirota is passionate about educating not just patients and their families about their health, but her colleagues (and future colleagues) as well. She is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and enjoys teaching medical students and resident physicians. She has been showcased as a speaker for many local and national organizations, including at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

When she’s not working, Dr. Sirota loves spending time with her family - her husband, three children, and their dog. They are outdoor enthusiasts, and enjoy downhill skiing in winter, and hiking, biking, or walking when the weather is nice. They also work together to give back to their community by volunteering at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory. 


Dr. Sirota received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from Tufts University.  She completed her pediatric internship and residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital) where she also served as a Chief Resident in pediatrics.

If I hadn't gone into pediatrics, I'd be a __

I truly can't imagine myself doing anything else. My mother likes to say that I decided in preschool to be a pediatrician.


What was your favorite book growing up?

Anything by Judy Blume!


What’s your guilty pleasure?

Ice cream (but no chocolate and no nuts, please!)
