Shaseme Fejza

Shaseme Fejza, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC, is a kind-hearted Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping others. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Psychology from Stony Brook University in New York and went on to receive her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Rush Medical Center in Pediatric Primary Care. 


Shaseme has an interest in development milestones and is passionate about patient education.


When she's not helping patients, she loves spending time with her daughter, Pranvera, reading, trying new recipes, and doing DIY home improvement projects!

Q&A


Why did you choose to go into Pediatrics? 

While in nursing school, I really gravitated towards Pediatrics and was lucky enough to get hired in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit following graduation. I really loved the NICU but I realized I wanted a career in which I could continuously see my patients grow throughout the years.


What's something you think people would be surprised to learn about you?

I am Albanian and I speak the language.


Tell us about your family life (including pets!)

I live at home with my husband and my daughter Pranvera. She just turned 17 months and is keeping us on our toes! I am originally from New York, so I am frequently flying back to visit my family and friends.


What is your comfort food?

Cheese Pizza!
