Our Doctors

Leanne Ostrodka

Dr. Ostrodka grew up in Clarendon Hills and has returned to the area from New York. We’re glad she’s come home to work at Hinsdale Pediatrics!

When asked what she loves most about her job, Dr. Ostrodka replied:

"The patients! I love watching them grow and develop hilarious personalities."

Dr. Ostrodka is different from most of our pediatricians in that she completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology (and is board-certified in that specialty) before switching to a career in general pediatrics. When asked about why she made the switch, Dr. Ostrodka answered:

"I switched from hematology/oncology to general pediatrics to be able to take care of both sick and well patients, and to establish a relationship with a family from birth to adulthood!"

However, Dr. Ostrodka is still interested in seeing patients with blood disorders.

Personally, she and her husband Mike have a beautiful baby girl and an ornery 16 year-old-cat. She enjoys traveling (when it’s safe), running, yoga, and photography.

Dr. Ostrodka is also part owner of a family farm in southern Illinois that’s been in the family for three generations. They grow corn and soybeans, but have no farm animals, sadly.

Dr. Ostrodka received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, then completed medical school at Southern Illinois University. After residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Dr. Ostrodka completed a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in New York. She is board-certified in pediatric hematology-oncology and general pediatrics.
