Our Doctors
Kathleen joined Pediatric Partners as a family nurse practitioner after 6.5 years of pediatric intensive care nursing at Lurie Children's Hospital. Her ICU background shapes the steady, attentive presence she brings to every visit, and her approach centers on partnering with families as a team. What she loves most is getting to know her patients and their families and taking the time to understand what matters to each one so the care plan actually works for them.
Kathleen is especially drawn to supporting families through both routine visits and harder moments, and she believes children's resilience is one of the most inspiring parts of her work. Witnessing children heal, grow, and thrive even in the face of challenges is what makes this field so fulfilling for her.
Kathleen completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Saint Mary's College in 2018 and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Saint Mary's College in 2025. She is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC).
Q&A
What are your hobbies?
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and baking, and recently I've been especially into making sourdough bread and trying different inclusions. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family, whether that's cooking together, being at home, or just catching up at the end of the day.
What is your favorite movie?
I love a good musical, whether it's a classic like Phantom of the Opera or something more modern like The Greatest Showman. I was in the choir in high school, and my favorite part of the year was always singing Broadway showtunes. The Mamma Mia series never fails to put me in a good mood.
Tell us about your family life:
I live in Chicago with my husband, Jay, and our golden retriever puppy, Walter, who keeps us very busy and entertained. We enjoy spending time together outdoors, especially on walks by the lake or exploring the city. We are also excited to be expecting our first baby this May and are looking forward to this new chapter for our family.
