Our Doctors
Dr. Levin’s passion is teaching his patients and their families how to lead healthy, happy lives. He joined the team at Elm Street Pediatrics in 2007, and has been an integral part of the North Shore community ever since!
"What I love most about my job is being able to connect with families and helping their children grow to be healthy, confident, and successful adults."
Dr. Levin has a wide variety of medical interests. These include caring for patients facing mental and behavioral health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. He also has a focus on helping patients who may be struggling with gender identity issues. Additionally, Dr. Levin enjoys assisting patients who may have atopic disorders such as food allergies, eczema, eosinophilic esophagitis, or asthma.
An avid traveler, Dr. Levin founded the Elm Street Pediatrics Travel clinic, and finds travel and international medicine to be unique challenges. Having practiced medicine in Mwanza, Tanzania in the past, he has seen first hand what foreign diseases can look like. He also has a special interest in caring for adopted patients and their families.
Dr. Levin serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University. He has received the Outstanding Teacher of Pediatrics award from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine every year since 2010! In July 2011, he was nominated as one of Chicago’s Favorite Kids Docs by Chicago Parent Magazine, and was recognized in their annual Chicago Parent 2011. He also received the Best Pediatrician award in the North Shore Choice Awards in 2019!
When he’s not taking care of patients, Dr. Levin enjoys spending time with his wife and three lovely daughters, practicing yoga, cooking, watching sports, and traveling.
Dr. Levin attended high school at Glenbrook North, and then earned his bachelor’s degree in Microbiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He graduated from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2004, completed his Pediatric Residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children’s) in Lincoln Park in Chicago in 2007, and is a board-certified pediatrician.
