Our Doctors
Elizabeth is a lifelong educator and learner. She’s a passionate advocate for her patients, and is always seeking new ways to help children learn the healthy habits they’ll need as they grow up.
"I am so honored to have relationships with my patients that allow me to know the family as a unit. It is a pleasure to be a part of their lives from infancy to adulthood. I also love and appreciate the honesty of children. This is refreshing and allows for days that are anything but boring!"
Elizabeth is married, and she and her husband are the proud parents of teenage twin daughters! They have a lot of fun spending time together, joined by their adored dog Gunner. They’re lucky to have extended family nearby and love being able to have fun with Elizabeth’s parents, nieces, and nephews (and now some great-nieces and nephews too!)
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago and received her Master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program.
Q&A
What are some of your special medical interests?
I am currently advancing my studies in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP), Mental Health (MH) and Complex Care (CC) as a participant in the Coleman Foundation APRN scholars program through Almost Home Kids (AHK), an affiliate of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. I am part of the first cohort and am thrilled to be able to gain more knowledge and experience in order to help bridge the gap in care due to the extreme shortage of specialists in these areas.
What do you like to do for fun?
I love to be active. Whether it be gardening, shopping, playing tennis, soccer or riding my bike, I normally prefer to be on the move! I have also turned into a stage mom, thoroughly enjoying watching my daughters' music and theater performances.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
It’s also my comfort food- cookies and cookie dough!
