Eliza Palarz earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2021 and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner at Purdue University in 2024.

Eliza's passion for pediatrics began at a young age, inspired by both her grandmother and mother, who were pediatric nurses. Growing up surrounded by their dedication to children's healthcare, she knew early on that she wanted to follow in their footsteps. She also spent time as a Polish school preschool teacher, which strengthened her love for working with children. Pediatrics allows her to build meaningful connections with both patients and their families, providing support and education throughout their development.

What are your hobbies/general interests?

I love to travel, play sports, and spend time outdoors. One of my favorite recent vacations was a cruise through Spain, Italy, France, and Malta—each place was so beautiful and full of culture!

What's something people might be surprised to learn about you?

I’m fluent in Polish! I was raised with Polish traditions and culture, and I even worked as a preschool teacher at a Polish school. I’m so grateful my parents passed down their language and heritage to me.

Why did you choose to go into pediatrics?

Both my grandma and mother were pediatric nurses, and their passion for caring for children inspired me. I love working with kids because they are full of energy, honesty, and curiosity. Pediatrics allows me to not only care for my patients but also support and educate their families. Helping children grow and thrive is the most rewarding part of my job!
