Dr. Damani came to Pediatric Partners after caring for patients in the Emergency Department at Lurie Children’s Hospital. An accomplished teacher and pediatrician, she enjoys nothing more than working with her patients and their families.

Dr. Damani has a wide variety of medical interests, and particularly enjoys caring for newborns, especially helping parents learn all about their new arrival! She also spends time working with parents on sleep training and helps address any behavioral issues that may arise over the years.
Away from the office, Dr. Damani is married and has two “very entertaining” sons. She loves staying active by playing tennis, going on long bike rides with her family, and traveling! She’s also been known to enjoy the occasional romantic comedy during movie night. She’s also teaching her boys the importance of giving back by participating in charity activities in and around their community.
Dr. Damani received her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her residency at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly known as Children’s Memorial Hospital).

Why did you choose to go into pediatrics?
I’ve always liked to work with children. When I went to medical school, it was the childhood illnesses that interested me the most. Pediatrics combines my interest in childhood diseases and working with a young population.
Who inspires you?
Women who are able to succeed in both their careers and personal lives.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Netflix and ice cream!
