Our Doctors

David Oppenheim

Dr. Oppenheim is devoted to caring for the families that choose Premier Pediatrics. As the founder of our practice, he’s dedicated himself to children’s health for over 20 years.

"One of my favorite things about pediatrics is being able to build long-term relationships with families."

Dr. Oppenheim’s dedication to top-quality evidence-based care shines through in every interaction he has with his patients and their families. He loves taking care of kids of all ages, and is unique among the physicians within PediaTrust as he also serves as a mohel!

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Oppenheim enjoys listening to music. While he enjoys many different genres, he’s currently been into the country folk stylings of Chicago’s own John Prine. Dr. Oppenheim also enjoys staying on the cutting edge of technology and likes learning new skills and researching developments. A proud husband and father, he and his wife have two teenage daughters and two rescue dogs.

Dr. Oppenheim received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine.  He completed his Pediatrics Residency at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Dr. Oppenheim also serves his community as a twice-elected trustee of Vernon Hills.
