Our Doctors

Christine McGuire

Dr. McGuire joined Fairview Pediatrics in 2019, and she quickly became a favorite among our staff and patients. Her warm smile, caring nature, and expert care have endeared her to our families.

"I love interacting with kids, helping parents solve problems, and supporting families through illness."

If she weren’t a pediatrician, Dr. McGuire would have become a teacher or researcher. It’s no wonder, as she received the Resident Teaching Award for Lurie Children’s Hospital 2017-19. She brings this passion and talent for teaching to our practice, where she enjoys educating patients and their families about how to stay as healthy as possible. In particular, her special interests include newborns, asthma, sports and travel medicine, school challenges and obesity.

In her personal life, Dr. McGuire is married with three children, and lives in the northern suburbs. She enjoys a good tennis match, singing with a local choir, and gardening. During the summer, she volunteers as a camp doctor in  Wisconsin.

Dr. McGuire received her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  She attended the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her Pediatric Residency Training at Children’s Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children’s Hospital).
