Our Doctors
A local girl made good, Dr. Grunenwald grew up in nearby St. Charles and, after her schooling in Ohio, returned to the area to practice pediatrics. She first joined Wheaton Pediatrics in 1994, then semi-retired for a few years to spend more time raising her children. She rejoined the group in 2016, and we couldn’t be happier to have her back!

During the time she was away from our practice, Dr. Grunenwald kept her skills up by serving as the school physician for St. Michael School in Wheaton, so she’s ready for anything that comes through our doors.
Her professional interests include the treatment of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. When not at work, she enjoys biking, kayaking, playing the piano, and taking long walks on the beach in Michigan.
Dr. Grunenwald has four grown children and a cat, and has had a variety of pets throughout the years (including a hedgehog).
Dr. Grunenwald earned her bachelor’s degree from Miami University of Ohio and her MD from the University of Cincinnati. She returned to the area for her residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago (now Lurie Children’s Hospital).

Raising my children. It is both the hardest and most rewarding work of my life so far!
