Our Doctors

Catherine Pierotti

Catherine (Cat) is a very special member of our team: not only was she born and raised in Wheaton, but she’s a former patient of Wheaton Pediatrics! After seven years of pediatric acute care nursing experience at Lurie Children’s Hospital, Cat joined Wheaton Pediatrics in 2019 to serve as one of our pediatric nurse practitioners.

"There is an unspeakable joy that comes from caring for kids. I love their curiosity, resiliency, and funny things they say each day."

Cat is interested in caring for children with complex medical needs, especially those with asthma and diabetes. She not only is devoted to helping children in her professional life but spends a lot of her free time doing the same.

"Throughout the last decade of living in Chicago, I have really enjoyed the various opportunities to serve the kids in my community as a preschool aid at Breakthrough Ministries and an asthma educator and classroom aid at By The Hand Club. Two amazing ministries that are transforming kid's lives in remarkable ways!"

Cat completed her BS in Nursing from Hope College in Holland, MI, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) and a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor (CBC).

Q&A

What are your hobbies?

I like to travel and hike with my husband, leisure reading, relaxing on outdoor patios, and host the occasional dinner party.

What is your comfort food?

Nothing is better than the classic egg-in-a-hole breakfast for dinner.

Tell us about your family life:

My husband and I both grew up in Wheaton and live very close to both of our parents, who still cook us home-cooked meals on the regular. We both have one brother who lives far away (Boise + Norway!) with their amazing wives and young children. Thankful for FaceTime video chats to keep us connected!
