What do you love most about your job?

I love building long-term relationships with families and watching children grow and thrive over the years. It is incredibly rewarding to be a trusted part of their journey and to help guide parents through both everyday concerns and unexpected challenges.

What are your hobbies/general interests?

I love staying active outdoors, whether it is walking, running, hiking, or biking. I also enjoy winding down with creative hobbies like paint-by-numbers and crocheting.

Tell us about your family life (including pets!)

I have a wonderful husband and an energetic son who keeps us on our toes! I am also close with my parents and two brothers—we love spending time together whenever we can.

What community activities do you participate in?

Throughout medical school and residency, I was actively involved in both research and community outreach focused on social determinants of health. I worked on initiatives aimed at addressing health disparities and improving access to care for underserved populations. These experiences deepened my commitment to providing equitable, compassionate care in my everyday practice.

Dr. Ianakiev received her undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, and medical degree from Rush Medical College. She completed her Pediatric Residency at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
