Our Doctors

Dr. Jenna Nathan completed her undergraduate work at Lawrence University, earning her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She went on to complete her residency at Rush University. 

"What do I love most about my job? The kids! I love getting to hang out with kids all day especially since it’s true that they really do say the darndest things."

Seven years before joining Elm Street Pediatrics, Dr. Nathan worked in Lurie's ER and Immediate Care. From this, she's developed a special interest in urgent care and injury prevention. She also has an interest in nutrition and exercise/sports, so she enjoys seeing young athletes and children with childhood obesity.

What are your hobbies/general interests?

I love the outdoors and being active - even in the winter!  I enjoy running, hiking, water sports, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing.  I also like to travel and I’m an avid reader.

What's something you think that people would be surprised to learn about you?

I grew up in Minnesota!

Tell us about your family life (including pets!)

I’m married and I have a daughter and a son that keep me busy.  I also have a golden retriever named Wrigley!

What are you most proud of? 

My kids!

What is your comfort food?

Pizza!

What's on your playlist right now? 

I listen to all genres of music but lately, my playlist has been mainly 90’s music.

What is your guilty pleasure?

I love reading outside in the sunshine.
