Our Doctors

Helen R. Minciotti

When Dr. Minciotti is not at work caring for her patients, she enjoys nature (bird) photography, going for long, adventurous walks, and reading beautifully written novels.

While speaking about her family, Dr. Minciotti explains, “I am married to my wonderful husband Mike, and we have five now young adult children who I often text and who, to my great delight, actually respond.” She also states that she chose to go into pediatrics because “it is, of course, the most fun of the medical specialties!”

"Kids are fascinating works in progress, and it’s an honor to be along for the journey."

“Dr. Helen” has an identical twin sister, “Dr. Ann” who also practices pediatrics in the northwest suburbs. This creates much fun and confusion when they run into each other’s patients at Costco or Target, but they happily both answer to “Dr. Minciotti”, so it all works out!

After earning both a BS (biology) and a BA (history) from Loyola University of Chicago, and then an MS from Northwestern University, Dr. Minciotti received her medical degree from Rush Medical College. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Chicago Children’s Hospital. Dr. Minciotti served as Chairman of Pediatrics at Northwest Community Hospital and was a featured pediatric health columnist in the Daily Herald.
